“Every aspect of the interiors, both spatial and design, furniture and furnishing is aimed at addressing the needs of a senior active retiree. The design challenge was how to create aesthetic and functional interiors – to optimize and configure the living space to create easy access pathways to and from the front door, living room, bedroom, pantry, washroom, and toilet, to design bespoke furniture with soft or rounded edges and create clever storage solutions by organising the furniture peripherally to maximize the space within. I chose a soft warm neutral colour palette and materials for the interior schemes which sit in perfect harmony with the contemplative and restful greenery of Aumorto. All of which engenders a feeling of spiritual serenity and ‘sense of belonging’ in this oasis”
